Digital Marketing Performance Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Performance Analyst to provide insights and bring analysis capabilities to the team, allowing us to constantly be working to improve on all of our key metrics.

Who You Are

You know the difference between a business metric and a vanity metric, you know how to design experiments to give clear results, and you know how to communicate your findings clearly to different audiences depending on the situation. You are happy working with a variety of data sources, designing dashboards, solving attribution issues, and surfacing problems that may only become apparent by digging deeper into the data.

What You Will Do

You will bring your strong understanding of a wide range of data sources and analytical tools to each marketing project. You will:

  • Be responsible for the performance analysis of each project, helping the team to measure and assess outcomes, including helping define what a good or a bad outcome might look like
  • Help to evaluate in advance how long any new experiments will need to run for in order to set expectations
  • Be able to work independently on ongoing projects and know when to ask for assistance and surface issues you discover
  • Be able to work with multiple teams to create reporting frameworks that are clear and understandable, reflecting the requirements of each team in order to provide the correct KPIs and surface insights
  • Be responsible for the accuracy and quality of data and analysis both within the team, and when that data is used externally
  • Be interested in and engage with the wider performance analysis ecosystem and community in order to stay up to date and at the top of your field

Skills Needed For This Role

  • Familiarity with all common digital marketing platforms: Google Analytics, Google AdWords, etc
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, and other data analysis platforms and tools
  • Minimum of 3 year’s experience in a similar role
  • Deep understanding of how the correct metrics can drive growth
  • Understanding of the various stages of the typical digital marketing funnels
  • Ability to undertake analysis, provide insight, and communicate results
